Sara Vega

Software engineer at Shopbop

Sara (She/Her), a proud Milwaukee native and UW-Madison Horticulture alumna (go plants!), is a software engineer at Shopbop. Beyond her professional endeavors, she passionately mentors students of Ada Developers Academy, a non-profit Sara attended, which empowers low-income POC, women, and gender minorities to excel in the tech industry. Outside the tech realm, you'll find her drawing, pedaling through scenic trails or nurturing her community garden plot.

Anna Toman

Technical Support Engineer at Moxe

Anna is a Technical Support Engineer originally from Madison. She appreciates the opportunities and connections that Madison Women in Tech provides for women in the industry. When Anna isn't tackling technical challenges, she's engrossed in a good book or enjoying quality time with her family. Supporting women in their pursuits is her passion outside of work.

Carolyn Pao

~

Pao is passionate about learning and promoting technology and supporting diversity and women. She was part of the YWeb Career Academy Program that introduced her to tech and entrepreneur frontiers and graduated from their development program. She is originally from Florida so she loves food exploring, traveling, sunny days and hiking.

Isabel Gutierrez-Pils

Junior Software Developer

Isabel is a Junior Software Developer. Her background includes a Policy Advisor for the Department of Natural Resources and a master’s in Conservation Biology and Sustainable Development from UW Madison.

Isabel first became interested in web development through a work project a few years ago.  She was provided basic training in HTML and CSS. She really enjoyed coding and began to learn on my own as a hobby and later began attending meetups.  Her first meetup was a Madison Woman in Tech meetup. Everyone was very supportive, and this encouraged her to continue learning. Now she is part of the YWeb Career Academy and working on changing careers.

She is especially interested in exploring issues related to diversity in technology careers.  She hopes to plan some events around these issues in the next year.

Hilary Stohs-Krause

Senior Software Engineer at Red Canary

Hilary is a senior software engineer at Red Canary. She speaks at conferences around the country and internationally, including RailsConf, SXSW and PHP International. Hilary is passionate about the intersection of tech, entrepreneurship and social good, and serves on several community boards (Forward Fest, Social Good Accelerator). She loves sci-fi/fantasy, olives, cats and plants.

Stephanie Frontz

IT Project Manager at Chobani

Stephanie is a people-oriented IT Project Manager experienced in leading large scale, enterprise-wide IT system implementations in the healthcare and CPG industries. A Wisconsin-native, Stephanie enjoys cheering on the state’s sports teams and is a Badger fan any day of the year, except when they play Marquette. She is thrilled to join the vibrant community of Madison Women in Tech and further advance gender diversity in the tech industry.
